I’m Ian Mclean, an award winning director, writer and actor. Under my production company Happy Devil Productions (founded January 2025) I’ve produced three short films and have a fourth, Norma, in production.

Each film has been achieved with zero budget and a whole lot of blood, sweat and love. We’ve challenged ourselves to achieve a lot with very little.

Alongside my own productions, I am a frequent collaborator with various performers and businesses as a Director of Photography, for example Real Reels LTD which produces professional and authentic showreels for actors. 

I am preparing to shoot my debut Feature Film in 2026 titled Every Cloud On Dream Road. I am greatly interested in finding collaborators and financial support.
